Although we have not been updating the site in some time, the weightlifting is going well. We competed last weekend at The Florida Elite vs. New South Wales (Australia) competition in Altamonte Springs, FL where we took a 2nd place spot and 3rd place spot. Looking forward to the next couple of meets in the next few months. IT was also nice to have the Revolution crew there to support both teams.
Danny Camargo of Team Altamonte/Crossfit Altamonte hosted a great event. We also had the opportunity to meet the Australian Coaches....Luke was true gentleman as well as the other coach whose name escapes me at the moment. It always amazes my how 'Elite" coaches are so approachable and willing to help.
Monday's workout:
- Snatch (70% x 1, 80% x 1, 90% x 1) x 3 OTM
- Snatch Pulls 3 x 3 (not so heavy as to interfer with mechanics and speed)
- BS x 5 x 3 (again, speed)
- Snatch Push Press 5 x 5
Tueday's workout
- Clean and Jerk: work up to 75% x 1 x 5 (total reps 20-22 including 75%) - work technique and speed
- Split squats - weighted 3 x 12 each leg
- Bent Rows 3 x 10
- Planks (3 sides) x 3 x 1 minute
